Speed Test
Cloudflare EngineInternet Speed Test
Test your download speed, upload speed, ping, jitter, and loaded latency using Cloudflare speed test endpoints.
By running a test, anonymized measurements may be shared with Cloudflare to improve aggregated Internet insights.
Free Internet Speed Test and Network Checker
Use this speed test to measure your internet connection from the browser. It helps you check download speed, upload speed, ping, jitter, and loaded latency so you can better understand real network performance.
Download speed
Measure how quickly your connection can receive data and show the result in Mbps.
Upload speed
Check how quickly your device can send data for calls, backups, uploads, and sharing.
Latency and jitter
Review ping and jitter to understand responsiveness for browsing, gaming, and video calls.
Quick or full test
Run a faster quick profile or a longer full profile depending on how much detail you need.
What is an internet speed test?
An internet speed test measures how fast your connection can send and receive data. Download speed affects streaming, browsing, downloads, and cloud apps, while upload speed matters for file sharing, video calls, live streaming, and backups.
Latency, often called ping, measures responsiveness. Jitter shows how much latency varies during the test. Lower latency and lower jitter usually mean a smoother experience for gaming, meetings, voice calls, and real-time apps.
What this speed test shows
- Download bandwidth in Mbps.
- Upload bandwidth in Mbps.
- Unloaded latency and jitter.
- Loaded latency during download and upload phases.
- Quick and full testing profiles powered by Cloudflare endpoints.
Common uses for this tool
- Check if your internet plan is delivering expected speed.
- Troubleshoot slow browsing, streaming, gaming, or video calls.
- Compare Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, and wired network performance.
- Measure upload speed before sending large files or going live.
- Review latency and jitter when connection quality feels unstable.
Speed test note
Results can change based on Wi-Fi signal, device load, browser activity, VPNs, network congestion, server distance, and other devices using the same connection. Run multiple tests at different times for a more reliable picture.
